Where are we aiming for?
One of my friends said, "I can't let some white person be better than me in Chinese; I am Chinese!" I've been thinking about this. Where live today and how we all act. Yes, you are Chinese, yes, you should be better than a white person in your own language, but that doesn't mean that there aren't gonna be someone better than you. When did race have to do with being better than the other person? Was being better ever about race? I don't think so, it was mainly about will power and understanding of the things you were learning.
What my friend said seemed completely ignorant and naive. I didn't say anything because he was with this girl he liked. This supposedly made him look more "stronger" or "bigger" in a sense, like he has something to achieve. But is achieving something like being better than a white person in a class of 40 students that amazing? Not at all. It's great you got an "A" in your class, but what does it show about your character, absolutely nothing. Your goal was to beat the white dude in Chinese, what happens when he stops taking Chinese? What is your goal and aspirations to take this class then? I hope understands that taking this class should help you understand yourself and your past more effectively and not to beat someone in a letter grade.
*sigh* I know too many people. LOLS. just a random thought =] Oh yeah, and I'm at break for my job... and in a minute, I'll have to go back to work T-T

Am I in the right place?
I'm lost for words. I'm confused as to what clubs are now. The clubs I've seen all have good intentions and I would love to join them... if they really had a purpose. They look good on your resume, good for making friends, getting information (ok, maybe I should just join it) but what do they do? I don't feel like they meet their entire purpose of the club in the first place. I would name a few places, but then I don't want you guys not to join them because of me. But in reality, it really is a good idea to join a few of these clubs/organizations for the resume and networking, but if you're gonna look to further yourselves in these clubs, that won't happen very fast or even often. The idea of these clubs is to network I believe. Please, tell me if I'm wrong, but I feel like there's not a lot of action going on in the clubs, rather, just hanging out and having fun (who wants to that? psh.) But yes, join them not to further your skills but to network and get a job that WILL further your experiences and skills.
That's my blurb of the day. =] I have a quiz in an hour and then off to retreat with AKC peeps. See you guys Monday!

People nicer in suburbs?
I was walking with a friend from class to the library after finishing up a a Sociology exam and we were talking about people in the library. Walk in the library and check out the place, especially people on the upper floors. ARE YOU SERIOUS!? They have such a low sense of security out here! We (ghetto people, and I'm not talking about "ghetto style", I'm talking about the projects) would take that shit, sell it and jet. MacPro would have been gone. That iPhone, gone. That wallet, gone. That mp3 player (more likely an expensive iPod). That sandwich, eaten and digested. lols. I think you get the point.
Now this got us curious, why would people do this to themselves? Set themselves up for a ghetto person like me to walk up, grab the shit and claim it as mine? We both came to a conclusion, people out here are too nice. We talked about how people in UMass, you would say "hi" to someone and they'd respond, "hi, how are you doing?" and a conversation starts with a stranger. However, in the situation of the city, you'd want to avoid eye contact most of the time and if you're in the ghettos, you'd better be completely opposite sides of the street and walk as fast as you can. There's no conversations, no gestures, just walk by and do nothing.
I don't know what to say about these people out here. These people are way to lenient out here. It's RIDICULOUS! People complain about their things being stolen and I wonder why. People are trying to catch villains who stole their computers and they're sitting there wondering why they stole their computers (and sometimes, worst of all, how they stole it...). I wished people out here knew about the people that goes to this school and vice versa, that the students in the school knew about the people here. These people are nice people, but they have no sense of a "ghetto life" because they are already well-off and have what they need already. While a bunch of ghetto people, they have nothing. They come from a white and black tv and see all these 50in tv in a dorm, who wouldn't want to rob you? And people in the school, haven't people taught you the decency and morals of a good person? I guess... if you skew it and have morals to help yourself... LOLS. but still, couldn't you at least leave a note and say, "don't leave your laptop next time in the open" after you take it? It'd be more considerate towards these nice folks out here in Western/Suburban MA. Thanks

Why Asians? - Metro Station (band)
I was going through the new music on iTunes when I saw Metro Station, and no, I'm not talking about a subway station on iTunes (How would it fit in iTunes, but then again, Apple can do anything nowadays). They made the song, Shake It, which was relatively good, but as most pop songs are like, they just repeat a line FOREVER. For this song, "shake it". Anyways, I saw it decided to look through their new EP that was coming out called Kelsey - EP. I saw it, "WTH!? Japanese Girl?!" First I thought, hmmm, this could be an interesting song. Then I heard this in the preview of it,
"My little Japanese Girl\From Tokyo baby\My little Japanese girl\You drive me crazy\I can't understand a single word you say\But until the morning it's here we'll lay"
OMG! ARE YOU SERIOUS!? What is it with Asian women and white culture!? Why couldn't they do that with, let's say, a Swedish girl instead? Or maybe an Tanzanian one? Nope, it has to be Japanese. You know why? Because there's a lot, A LOT, of people who can relate to this. You know what I'm talking about. All those guys out there (not just Whites) has/had a fetish for an Asian women exclusively once in their life time.
Well, I'll include a song from Youtube I found, I have to admit, the music is definitely pop-ish and good. But I feel as if they're saying something about Japanese/Asian girls in general. And what is this "sac" they speak of? On dictionary.com, they defined it as - (noun) a baglike structure in an animal, plant, or fungus, as one containing fluid. Yeah... I don't want them to explain this to me because I'll just get infuriated...

I've been slacking on the blogging part of my life. I'd very much love to blog more, but I've been quite busy and tired from school and trying to hit up the gym every now and then. But I'm glad that I could use this one hour gap in my schedule and grab a computer to blog and study for my next class. Dorm life as of now has been rough, but I never expected it to be easy. These are just small bumps that I've been hitting and I hope that it would be smoother down the road.
What have I been doing? Waking up at 9, class and work till 630, play basketball at 7, shower and homework at 10 sleep at 1. Yup, this is my life. Oh yeah, Friday activities and Saturday/Sunday chillaxing/catching up on work. I love the weekends xP
I'm always tired now, so don't mind me being tired and energetically lacking. haha. Cut me some slack. I'm trying to work 20 hours, lose some weight, socialize, join programs, and figure out my spiritual life. It's hectic. hahaha. but it's definitely something that can help me long term. Especially the scheduling and the amount of work I have. It should definitely get me ready for the outside world... hopefully.
